  • January 2–31 – Important Notices Sent
    • Agricultural Use Appraisal applications mailed to new agricultural property owners.
    • Residential Homestead Applications mailed to homeowners who purchased property before January 1.
  • February 15 – Appraisal Process Begins
    • Real estate appraisers begin reviewing and finalizing values for Notices of Appraised Value.
    • Business Personal Property (BPP) appraisers review renditions and field inspections.
  • February 28 – GIS & Mapping Updates
    • Mapping/GIS updates completed for new land records, plats, and re-plats filed as of January 1.
  • April 15 – Notices of Appraised Value Sent
    • Real property Notices of Appraised Value mailed.
    • Deadline to file BPP Rendition forms or request an extension.
  • April 16 – Informal Property Review Begins
    • Property owners can schedule informal reviews (in person, online, or via written protest).
  • April 30 – Major Filing Deadline
    • Most property tax exemption applications (Homestead, Over-65, Disabled, etc.).
    • Agricultural Use Appraisal applications.
    • Requests for separate listing of undivided interests.
    • Notification of exemption removal (if property no longer qualifies).
  • May 15 – Property Tax Protest Deadline
    • Deadline to file a property tax protest with CCAD (next business day if a weekend/holiday).
    • BPP Rendition Forms due (with extensions granted).
    • BPP Notices of Appraised Value mailed (estimated).
    • Informal reviews for BPP owners begin.
  • May 16 – Appraisal Review Board (ARB) Hearings Start

  • July 25 – Chief Appraiser Certifies Appraisal Roll
