The Board of Directors oversees the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD), providing governance and setting policies for property appraisals across Harris County.
Representation of the HCAD Board of Directors
Representatives from the City of Houston, Harris County, and Houston Independent School District are appointed by resolutions from their respective jurisdictions. Representatives from other cities, conservation and reclamation districts, schools outside of Houston Independent School District, and junior college districts are selected through a voting process
