The Tarrant County Appraisal District (TCAD) Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing property appraisals across Tarrant County, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and transparency. Comprised of nine members—including five appointed representatives, three elected officials, and the county assessor-collector as an ex officio voting member—the Board ensures balanced representation across the county’s taxing jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include appointing the Chief Appraiser, approving the annual budget, setting appraisal policies, and overseeing contracts. Meeting quarterly at TCAD headquarters, the Board works to uphold efficiency and integrity in the property appraisal process.
